Pet Sitting Fees & Policies

 I offer vacation Pet Sitting Services, as well as mid-day bathroom breaks, which comes in handy when you can't leave work to let your dog out.  I typically do not provide service to outside dogs or cats and encourage you to keep all cats indoors while you are on vacation.  I provide services for dogs, cats, bird, fish, reptiles, ferrets, and small caged pets. 

• Fees for households with more than 6 pets will be determined during the free consultation visit.
• Fees for households with special needs will be determined during the free consultation visit.
• Fees for households with pets that required medication administered, will be determined during the free consultation visit.

Free Consultation Visit

Your Free Consultation Visit provides new clients the opportunity to meet me, discuss your needs, and the chance to be properly introduced to your pet(s). I require this step before a reservation can be confirmed.  I require two keys to your home. If I must make an additional key the fee is $20.00. If you do not provide keys at the first consultation visit and it is necessary for me to return to obtain keys, there is a $20.00 fee. Most clients prefer for me to keep their key.

Mid-Day Visit Package​

Mid-day visits are available from 10:00am-12:00pm.

Price valid for 5 weekday visits only. Less than 5 weekday visits reference chart above and cannot be discounted.

• 1-2 Dogs: $85 / week ($17.00 per visit)
• 3+ Dogs: $100 / week ($20.00 per visit)

Vacation Pet Sitting Policies

The New Client Consultation Visit is required with at least one owner prior to the first time services are provided. You must download, read, and sign the Pet Sitting Contract prior to scheduling the free new client consultation visit. The Pet Sitting Contract is in place to protect both the Owner and Pet Sitter and must be signed both parties, prior to scheduling visits.

• 3 visits per day are required for dogs without access to a doggy door and securely fenced yard.
• 2 visits per day are required for dogs with access to a doggy door and securely fenced yard.
• 1 visit per day is required for cats, birds, fish and small caged animals.
• Total cost for households with more than 6 pets will be determined at the time of the free consultation visit.
• Total cost for households with special needs pets will we determined at the time of the free consultation visit. (Includes medication administered)
• Up to 2 fish tanks can be feed with no additional fee.
• I require two keys to your home. If I must make an additional key the fee is $20.00.
• If you do not provide keys at the first consultation visit and it is necessary for me to return to obtain keys, there is a $20.00 fee.
• Deposit of 50% required when booking and the balance paid 2 weeks before scheduled visit starts. Holiday  visits must be paid in full at the time of booking.
• 50% of deposit will be refunded in the event of a cancellation, if canceled 15 days prior to start date.
• Cancellations after remainder of balance is paid, forfeits entire refund. 
• Cancellations  during holidays forfeits the entire payment.
• Dogs walked off your property must wear collars with identification and rabies tag and be leashed.
• Pets transported must wear collars with identification and rabies tag.​
• I must be informed about any anticipated visitors and service providers during your absence. For your safety, as well as the protection of your home, if I arrive at your home and find someone not anticipated, I will call law enforcement first.

Visit Frequency
I typically try to schedule all visits after Sunrise and before Sunset for safety reasons; however visits are scheduled as close to your pets regular schedule as possible.

​Typical Home Visit Schedule:

Morning Visit: 6:30-7:30 am
Evening Visit: 4:30-6:00 pm
Tuck In Visit: 8:00-9:30 pm

Reservations

For new clients we ask that you schedule your free new client consultation visit approximately two weeks prior to the start of services. Please Do NOT leave a message and assume you have reservations.

For existing clients I ask that you schedule services as soon as needed. 

Holiday Policy
Pet Sitting Visits over holiday periods incur a holiday surcharge of $10.00 per visit for Federal Holidays, plus Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, & Father's Day. The holiday fee does not apply to the individual holiday only. Several days before or after the actual holiday may also fall under the Holiday Policy.

Holiday Premium rate days include:

New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Valentine's Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Day before Christmas Eve, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Day after Christmas.​

Full payment is required, in advance for the entire service, before I will book visits during any period that include a holiday. 

Keys

If you wish to hire me for my pet sitting services, I require two copies of your house key during the initial free consultation visit.  At your request, I will return your keys in person within 7 days of the end of your services. However, I recommend you leave your key in my possession for ease the next time you need my services.  This allows you to avoid future key pick up fees of $20.00.  Please note: Entry only via a garage door is not acceptable due to the possibility of mechanical failure and weather related power outages.

Messages

Most clients prefer to hear from me at least once a day. I will text or email you, each visit if you prefer. I have been known to send clients a cute picture or two and updates while they are away. If you do not prefer pictures of updates, please let me know. Remember, my main goal is for you to enjoy yourself and not worry about your home or pet(s).

​Final Visit

Please remember to contact me when you have returned home safely.  Otherwise, I will continue visiting to assure the safety and well-being of your pets. Additional trips will be charged at the regular rate. You can call or text (704) 925-2577. Do not email me. I cannot guarantee that I will receive emails in a timely manner.
